A comp means different things to different people. A “Comprehensive” Pre-Viz tool is important to lots of agencies. Different agencies desire different levels of refinement. To me it means that I am usually asked to draw from my imagination…no time for models or photos… just an anxious art director… slightly apologetic about the deadline he has delivered with the assignment, that I want to make happy.
